Why this Millennial investor doesn’t sell shares

Ryan Chan, 25, first dipped his toe in the world of investing with a small purchase of bitcoin in 2017.

But when he started full-time work two years later, it was the sharemarket that really captured his attention. Now, he has a portfolio worth “tens of thousands” across ASX, New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq listed stocks and says he is “obsessed” with turning his holdings into real wealth.

Ryan very much fits the mould of an “investor” rather than a “trader”. In fact, he has not yet sold any of his positions in any of the companies he has invested in.
